The Special Olympics Northern California was founded in 1995. Upholding the mission and values of the primary Special Olympics organization, the northern California division creates an environment where athletes with disabilities can compete in sports, boost their physical abilities and confidence, and create lasting relationships. In order to fulfill its goals, the group hosts a variety of activities and events throughout the year to fund the Special Olympics games.
In support of its fundraising efforts, the Special Olympics Northern California will host a Tri-Valley Bocce Bash on October 1, 2014. The event will take place at Campo di Bocce of Livermore from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Benefiting the organization’s partnership program in the Tri-Valley region, the event will include bocce games, food, and beverages. Teams of eight can register on the website in advance at www.sonc.org to participate in the evening festivities. Registration includes four players, four spectators or guests, dinner, and wine. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available as well.
